Held at Sandown fields on Sunday June 22nd, 2003, this was billed as a boutique tourney. In fact, if even one person had stubbed their toe beforehand we wouldn't have had a quorum. Despite that, and the cold and slightly damp conditions, we had a a great afternoon of quality Ultimate. It was also noisomely good spirited - I didn't ask captains for spirit points for fear of gagging at the replies!

A theme of the tourney was to farewell Dan Ricard and Leslie Tse (returning to Canada), Jocelyn Ross (returning to US), and Tom Caldwell (returning to the north island). Four people you just don't want to lose from your community! Dang! To show our respect, we put them all in one team and gave them the only two beginners, John & Jose. This was "Donde esta el disco".

"Something in the oven" was Jemery Madeleine Frank Kate Cookie & Joe.
The left-overs, "Dregasaurus", was Stan Cari Asher Lucy David & Jeff.

"Something in the oven" shone through the round robin, so for the final we divided them into the other teams to have 7-on-7 with subs (oooo!) I have no idea who won, but it was fun.

Shavawn took out the all-important "best recruiter" prize, again.
The post-tourney party was a fine solstice bonfire, for which Stan and Briony provided their marshy paddock, dead pine trees, and pumpkin soup (thanks guys!)
