If you have never been an AFDA member, you need to join the AFDA , which basically entails registering your contact details and date of birth on the AFDA web site, in return for your very own AFDA number. This can be done by following this new AFDA member link and filling in the required information. Remember you new AFDA number, and return to the Two Hat registration page to complete your registration. Your AFDA fees are included in the Two-Hat registration fees! As a current AFDA member, you will receive AFDA newsletters posted to your home address, as listed in the AFDA database (you need to update your own details if you move!).
If you have previously been an AFDA member then you need to supply your AFDA number. If you have forgotten your AFDA number, you can search the AFDA Membership database using your name and find your membership number. To make sure the AFDA can contact you (e.g. to deliver a newsletter), you need to keep your contact details up to date on the AFDA database. You can check or update your own details at any time.
As of January 1 2008, the AFDA reinstituted Personal Injury Insurance as part of their insurance policy. Given that claims to the AFDA's personal injury insurance have a maximum pay out of $1,500, it has been agreed by the AFDA board that the Members' Compassionate Fund will continue to operate in 2008 in order to provide additional compensation for big injury claims. The current low insurance prices are unlikely to last beyond the medium term, in which case the AFDA will revert to using the Member Compassionate Fund as the primary vehicle to assist our members in financial need.
