Hobart Individual Kings and Queens Cup (HIKQ-Cup)

2009 Kings and Queens League

If you've just played the 2009 Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships or have played TUC (the Tasmanian Ultimate Championship) over the winter season, or are looking for something that is a step up from Division 1 from last season's Spring/Summer leagues, then HIKQ-Cup just might be for you.

Starting on Sunday the 1st of November at 4pm, and running every fortnight after that until the 13th of December (that's four weeks for you calendar-nerds) we will be running the first Hobart Individual Kings and Queens Cup (HIKQ-Cup). This is a league with a difference. You don't register on a team, you just sign up as yourself. Each week, the teams will be formed randomly from the pool of players that shows up, and at the end of the round each persons individual win or loss, and spirit score, is added to their individual total. So the league table won't keep track of teams, but individuals, and there'll be a separate table for men and women. At the end of the league, there will be one single male (the King) and one single female (The Queen) with the most wins, and also spirit Kings and Queens.

Registration cost is $20, or $40 if you register and pay after Friday 30th October and Joe Boyer is the inaugural HIKQ-Cup Director.
