The main pole hole disc golf course played in Tasmania is at Poimena Reserve, Austins Ferry, just north of Hobart. There is a map of this course on the Disc Golf section of the AFDA web site. In 2006 this course was revamped with an additional 9 holes added. In formation and links to a map are available for the 18 hole course or at this new Poimena web site.
Rumour has it that there was a regular group of golfers who play this course on Sunday mornings. If you want to join this group, try contacting Harvey.
If you want to play even more formally, Leigh Bird runs an annual tournament on this course in November or December. Contact Leigh directly if you want to know more or are interested in playing one of his golf tournaments - or phone him up if you want to talk to him.
