Minutes of the TUA Committee Meeting 29th June 2006, Knopwood’s Retreat, Salamanca Place Meeting open: 5:32pm Present: Jem, Shavawn, Mike, Aaron (until 6.12), Ash (until 5.43), Matt (5.40), Apologies: Dave Confirmation of last minutes: Shavawn, seconded Mike Correspondence: Invoice to Peter Button for chocolate sales Business arising from the minutes: 1. A-League Discussion on the addition of bye weeks due to player unavailability. 2. Summer League report Matt – final report submitted. Finalisation of financial report discussed with Shavawn and should be submitted by next meeting. 3. Autumn League Well done to Dave for organising. Dave waiting on invoice for field hire before finishing financial report. 4. Winter League Registration has commenced. League to be played at Mt Nelson (Hobart College). Structure of league to be discussed with Sarah & Basil. 5. Spring League League organiser position still open, Basil to be approached to organise. Jeff to be approached to help with field hire. 6. Uni vs. Workers challenge Challenge match on the 26th June won by the Workers Party. 7. AFDA Coaching Mike – Ash has indicated that she has completed her coaching hours. Once her logbook has been updated she can be accredited. 8. UTas Report Mike – University team travelling to Ballarat next week to compete in Southern Uni Games (SUGs). SUGs team raffle was drawn last Monday at the Uni vs. Workers game. Kath Downey’s aunt won second prize, and Jem won the first prize. 9. Two-Hat VIII Tentative agreement reached for the use of North Hobart Oval. # Financial report including expenditure to approve: Financial report attached & confirmation: Shavawn, seconded Jem Expenditure approved: 1. $198.94: to Dave for Autumn League expenses 2. $225: field hire for Autumn League 3. $30: New discs (from UTas Club) 4. $320: Autumn League AFDA fees 5. $225.75: Additional Summer League AFDA fees 6. $600: Court hire for Winter League # Other business 1. Mixed Nationals Shavawn to start training for 2006 Mixed Nationals from next Monday night. At present there appears to be enough interest for a Tasmanian team. 2. New Discs Some interest in purchasing new shipment of discs from Discraft. Shavawn indicates that there is still approx. 50 discs still available for purchase, so no new purchases to be made for now. 3. Meeting Venue Discussion on possible new venue for meeting.
