Minutes of the TUA Committee Meeting
19th January 2006, Shipwright’s Arms Hotel, Battery Point

Business arising from the minutes:

1. League organisers manual (Matt)
Matt: updating during summer league
2. Spring League report
	Tim: on the web thanks to Jem
2. Summer League progress report
	Matt: Just started, but have enough numbers to form 8 teams
3. Autumn League update
Matt and/or Joe to poll summer league players through team captains to help decide if players want an indoor or outdoor league. Tim P to investigate venue(s) for indoor league.
4. Nationals 2006
Mike: may not need TUA to fund additional shirts due to low player numbers this year.
5. WUCC 2006
Discussion by those present on the possibility of funding players to attend. Consensus appeared to be on a set amount that will be divided amongst those attending to pay for tournament costs. Final decision on funding for Clubs to be made at a future meeting.
6. Sponsorship (Tim P)
Tim P to draft letter to Menzies Centre CEO to thank them for participation in spring & summer leagues.
7. Youth co-ordinators report
Joe: Ash Button currently attending Aus Juniors Training Camp in Sydney. Joe also proposed a Youth League to operate in Hobart in Sep-Oct this year.
8. TUC report
Aaron has announced that there will be 3 TUC teams this year with games operating on a round-robin style of play every 2 weeks. Announcement about the start of TUC to be made at league.
9. Women’s development
Mike made the suggestion that the numbers of women present at summer league may warrant the possibility of starting up a women’s only game on a separate night. Ash will hold a woman’s only meeting at league in a few weeks time to discuss this.
10. Workers/Uni Challenge
Workers won last game in mid-December. Next game may be in O-week at uni in late February.
11. Nationals 2005 photos
Jem to purchase Tiggers team photo from Perth photographer shortly.
