Minutes of the TUA Committee Meeting
3rd February 2005, Shipwright’s Arms Hotel, Battery Point

Present: Jemery, Shavawn, Tim Phillips, Joe, Mike, Stew, Tim Johnson (6:16pm)

Business arising from the minutes:

1. Tassie Discs:
Shavawn – more discs to be ordered through UTas/grant money. Also may need to look at purchasing more Frisbee flyers.
2. Two-Hat VI final financial report – approved
3. Come & Try sessions
Joe – 2 hour session went well
4. Spring League final report
Joe – summary of the league results
5. AFDA Coaching Program
Mike – Melbourne coaching course went well, with Tim P, Shavawn, Ashleigh and Mike attending.  Mike and Tim to coach Tig-gers, Shavawn and Ash to coach beginners and other/Uni teams.
6. Demo games at Taste – feedback
Shavawn – Thanks to all the people who took part.
7. Summer League
Tim – 59 registrations, plus fields look good
- Bare feet issue: Jem – make it a rule that bare feet are not allowed
- Game length in March – 40 min games in March
- Pickup fees - $5
- BBQ – Bring one or two? Decide on who is to run in March
- Gazebo – committee agreed to allocate up to $300 for purchase
- Water supply – seems to be no problems with no central water supply
8. League organisers manual
Stew – has notes from Jeff and Stew
9. Next Tournament
Shavawn – 9/10 April, 4 team hat, 1 day (to be decided on at next meeting)
10. OSR grant
Shavawn – has list of items for expenditure
11. Strategic Plan
Tim – strategic plan attached, approved by committee

Tim – sponsorship package, approved by committee
13. Salamanca Market stall
Tim – not enough spare discs to hold stall
14. Launceston group
Tim – Burnie CC and Launceston CC interested.  Tim to liaise with CC’s to determine when, possibly in month before Two-Hat

Shavawn – next game this Sunday
16. AFDA business
Shavawn – Heat, sun-protection, lightning, and uniform policies approved/up for approval

Jem – discuss more at next meeting

Mike – Tassie Tig-gers going to both Southern Regionals and Nationals

20. National Ultimate Frisbee League (NUFL)
Mike – 5 Tassie players participating: Mike, Matt, Shavawn, Ashleigh, and Kate

Mike – talked with Ollie at NL1 about O-week and sending team to SUG

CSIRO to challenge, probably for O-week
