Winter League - Big thanks to Jeff for organising and running 2. Tassie Discs - Jem: have arrived - Approx. half of the money out-layed has been re-couped - Selling for $15 in Tasmania, $20 on the mainland - Joe given free disc in recognition of help designing disc 3. Two-Hat VI - Jem: went well, possibility of small financial loss - Shavawn: financial work on Two-Hat almost complete 4. Come & Try - Thanks to Joe & Mike for running - Structured sessions worked well - Come & Try for Summer League? Possibly for 1 night, 10th January 5. Spring League - Thanks to Asher for organising the six teams (most ever for a league) - Asher: going well - Jeff & Tim to take over as league commissioners while Asher is away - Possibility of getting a locker for equipment at Sandown: Tim to investigate 6. Mixed Nationals - Shavawn: went well, maintained initial seeding of 14th 7. Sport & Recreation grant - Jem: still waiting on result 8. Women's Development - Shavawn: nothing to report here at present, mainland has a few events planned over the next few months 9. Tas Uni - Shavawn: nothing to report - Aim to have a Uni team for next year's competition 10. CSIRO-Uni Challenge - Waiting for CSIRO challenge 11. TUC - Next game this coming weekend - Aim to have one more game before end of the year (11th Dec) - Start up again on 9th Jan - Jeff & Shavawn to organise teams 12. AFDA Coaching Course - Problem with Ashleigh going - Some money for attendees has been paid to Piers at Mixed Nats - Location yet to be confirmed, but will probably be Melbourne Uni - Textbooks to be sent by Piers in the next week 13. AFDA Business - Shavawn: some new policies to be voted on, listed on the AFDA website 14. Summer League - Commissioners to be Tim and/or Stew - Starting 10th Jan (come & try) and running until March 21st - Plan for next year: if more than 6 teams commissioner will look at the possibility of move to Cornelian Bay fields - Sandown Park booked for Summer League 16. Taste of Tasmania - Shavawn: have been asked to play 3 demo games at the Taste of Tasmania (1st, 2nd & 3rd Jan) - 2 x 1/2hr and 1 x 1hr demo games - Need enough volunteers for 4-on-4 game, 6 per team, plus 4 others for info (16 total) - Tanzanians vs. Tiggers - Need spare brochures to hand out - Tassie Discs: possible conflict with Hazel Bros. printed discs 17. Strategic Plan - Tim: Survey of Tasmanian players aimed at where they would like to see Ultimate taken in Tasmania. What do people want to get out of it and put into it? - Disc draw for survey return (2 discs?) or other prizes 18. Sponsorship - Jem: Hazel Bros. - no official or direct contact - Do we want to accept sponsorship (what are our ethical criteria?) - Option of team vs. TUA sponsorship (i.e. Sponsor for individual teams rather than for entire TUA) - Everyone at meeting to come up with 5 Tasmanian companies we would consider being sponsored by - Target companies with letter for initial contact 19. Salamanca Market Stall - Tim: aim to sell Tassie discs at market - $39 for stall - Sell discs for $20, have up to 50 discs for sale - Option to also sell spare Two-Hat shirts 20. Two Hat VII - Tentative date: 8th October, 2005 - Jem to possibly be TD again - Dave interested in playing greater organisational role (possibly TD?) - Look into a March mini-tournament 21. Launceston group - Tim: move towards state-wide participation - Interest from a Launceston resident - Possibility of playing a demo game in Launceston early next year (Feb-March?) 22. Nationals 2005 - Mike: host Perth - Yet to look at forming team, but will be a close thing with numbers again - We will probably need to qualify through a regional tournament in Melbourne in March - Will ask for initial interest in playing at Spring League final 23. Mixed Nationals 2005 - Shavawn: host Adelaide 24. National League - Mike: doesn't really concern Tasmania at present 25.
