Business Arising:

1. WINTER LEAGUE

Madeleine and Cari propose a 16 week indoor league with a 2 week break. The league will start May 5. Have tentative booking with Hobart College for two courts for 1.5 hours on Monday nights - 6:30 -8:00. Indoor court fees are expensive ($840 for each 8 week half season) and league fees will be high accordingly. C&M suggesting offering subscription for half season at a time - especially as AFDA fees become renewable just before the indoor league. Jemery to check how much the AFDA will be charging us now that we are affiliated. Budget is requested for winter league and Madeleine is to post it on tua-admin.

Shavawn moved that league organisers get free entry to that league for up to two organisers. Jemery seconded. Passed.

Jeff has offered to work out the stats for the league.

Cheer - will have to be short, perhaps after the last game as we are otherwise paying $70/hour for the pleasure.

First aid kit for league - Jemery moves that Shavawn spend up to $150 on St John's kit + some one-off ice packs and some reusables. Dave seconds. Passed.

Advertising - got to be done now.

Also noted that car pooling is important for this league when held at HC and we'll try to encourage, organise, etc.

2.FUTURE TOURNEMENT

Jeff proposes to direct a winter solstice tourney (June 21 or 22). Leslie and Shavawn offer to help.

3. SUMMER LEAGUE REPORT

Leslie is pleased and proud to report that the summer league made about $400 - final figures to be announced (and handed over). Jemery made an official request for a financial statement.

18 new AFDA memberships were collected !

Some of her recommendations for a successful league are :

Finally a big cheer for Leslie who did a great job running a fun league.

4. SPIRIT SCORES

People liked the look of Pottsy's way of scoring spirit - start with 10 and subtract various amounts for different offenses. Pottsy is trialing it at Coffs and we'll see how it goes.

5. NATIONALS TEAM REPORT

6. O-WEEK AND TAS UNI REPORT

7. TASSIE DISCS

Dan reports there was no response to his call for designs. Want to link with Melbourne Hat so we don't need so many discs. Dan will try again with a design or just do--it--himself. Francios is working on it.

8. WOMEN'S DEVELOPMENT

Have nothing to report but the WDT will get together sometime soon.

9. GOVERNMENT FUNDING

Can't get funding until we are incorporated - paperwork has been sent off. Jemery is tentatively investigating funding.

10. TWO-HAT DISC GOLF

Dan won't be here for the two-hat but will happily test out St David's Park with anyone who is interested. Beer.

11. FINANCIAL REPORT

Jemery moves we open an account with Connect Credit Union. Shavawn seconds. Passed. Madeleine wants to know how many free cheques the account gets per month. Get an account that requires two of four signatures (pres, vice, treas, sec).

12. OTHER BUSINESS

Jemery moves that Cari, Leslie and Dan are made committee members. Jeff seconded. Passed.

Jemery has applied for incorporation. As Jemery is the one who applied he is appointed as the first Public Officer.

Jemery noted that AFDA fees go up.

Nationals eligibility will be discussed at nationals.

Jemery presented the board with the Financial Statement from the 2002 Two-Hat from October 2002.
