The Winner of the February AFDA Volunteer of the Month has been selected.
This month nominations have been received from Tasmania, Perth, QLD and Victoria.
The following hard working volunteers were nominated for their efforts:
Kristen "Notty" Nott (QLD):
Notty has been a fantastic and dedicated League Director for Monday nights, the long-standing Director of Brisbane's biggest
League, also one of the first to put her hand up whenever there's any Ultimate-related work to be done around Brisbane.
Stephen Ball (Perth):
Fairly new to the Perth Ultimate community Stephen has jumped straight in to volunteering with the FEAR Ultimate Disc Club.
Stephen was the Tournament Director at the recent Beach Ultimate Furious Fives competition earlier this month. With 16 teams
to coordinate, Stephen ran a great tournament that was enjoyed by all.
David "Cookie" Cooke (Tasmania):
As a member of the TUA committee and UTAS Executive, Cookie is a tireless behind the scenes member of the Ultimate community.
Cookie is always thinking about the further development of ultimate in Tasmania, frequently volunteers for the most thankless
tasks, runs numerous leagues and tournaments, and was responsible for those amazing lunches at AMUC 09 that everyone loved.
Cookie is a truly irreplaceable member of the Tasmanian Ultimate community and deserves recognition for his untiring and consistent work.
Stephanie Hancock (Perth):
Stephanie is WAFDA's Newsletter Editor and been responsible for the new look newsletter. Each quarter she chases up the committee members to
submit their articles and compiles the fantastic professional looking newsletter for distribution to the WAFDA members and external stakeholders.
Andrew Gruntovs, Andrew Berry, Riley Dickson, Campbell Wratt and Joan Tulett:
Managers of the U/19 and U/23 campaigns and coordinators of the training camps. This super team of volunteers have been arranging awesome
training camps and generally working hard behind the scenes for the Australian representative teams.
