AFDA Member Insurance Benefits
About AFDA Insurance
For those who don't know, all AFDA members are covered by the AFDA member insurance.
There are two main parts to the insurance cover: Public Liability and Death or Total Permanent Disablement Insurance.
Public Liability insurance covers you in case someone sues you in relation to any flying disc sport. This could happen if you damage property or injure someone.
Death or Total Permanent Disablement Insurance covers you for serious injury or death resulting from a flying disc sport, or related activities (meetings, organised social events, etc).
Note: as of 1 January 2008, the AFDA also has Accident Insurance with SUA/Calliden. Further to this, members who suffer out of pocket expenses can also submit a claim to the Member Compensation Fund.

Affiliated Associations
Affiliated associations also benefit from the AFDA insurance in two ways.
Field Booking
Most Councils and other field providers require you to hold Public Liability insurance in order to book fields. Affiliated associations of the AFDA can use the AFDA Insurance Policy to book fields. This saves considerable expense.
Professional Indemnity
Officers of affiliated associations are also covered by the AFDA's professional indemnity insurance.
